Aolian Solar, a subsidiary of Nanjing-based automotive electronics manufacturer ALAE, has successfully concluded its first perovskite photovoltaic power generation test facility. According to Perovskite-info, the 15-kilowatt project spans more than 1,200 square meters and represents a significant milestone in testing next-generation solar technologies at operational scale.

The facility takes an innovative hybrid approach by integrating three distinct photovoltaic technologies: traditional crystalline silicon panels, emerging perovskite cells, and cadmium telluride systems. By combining these technologies in a single test environment, Aolian Solar aims to gather comparative performance data and determine the most suitable applications for each approach under real-world conditions.

The project incorporates 5G-based intelligent monitoring systems to track power generation performance across multiple operating scenarios. This advanced monitoring capability allows researchers to collect detailed data on how each technology responds to varying environmental conditions and demand patterns, providing insights into long-term reliability and efficiency.
